This has been a very cool wedding to edit so far – so many great moments!

So, we haven’t really done many family type photo sessions so far. Partly because we didn’t want to do the studio type photos, and partly because we just don’t really pursue that style of photography. But, after talking with the Sparks family a bit, they were kind enough to give us an opportunity to do a series of sessions with them, and their amazingly cute daughter. We did the session at the red river gorge, and I am pretty happy with how they turned out. If every family is this much fun to work with, we might just have to do some more!

We photograph many, many casual and less traditional weddings – and they are always fun. But, there really is something to be said for strong traditions and deep roots. Saturday’s wedding was full of those roots and traditions, yet was still one of the most relaxed and just plain fun weddings of the year so far. The wedding was held at the Marriott Griffin Gate – the weather was perfect, and the family and friends amazing. I had to stop shooting a couple times during formals because they had me laughing…

Another rainy forecast that ended up working out well! Was great to meet Mallory and Cory, and we had a very fun photo shoot at the red river gorge.

The weather cleared up just in time for sunshine and blue skies for the ceremony, located in downtown Lexington’s Gratz Park. A very nice venue for sure! Then on to a very cool, and very wild reception and a nice exit via horse drawn carriage.

Missy and Jacob are climber friends, and I have known them for awhile. Was psyched to be able to photograph their wedding. The location was Talon Vineyards, just south of Lexington. Beautiful day, though it threatened to storm, everything worked out just fine.
The groom

Love the ring barer, couples that involve their pets are always fun to work with!

Bride and bridesmaids have fun.
